About Our Activities
Towards a New Era, Towards Our Future Based on a 125-year legacy, a new era of home economics education at Wayo Women’s University begins now

The Home Economics Education Research Lab was established in 2022, on the 125th anniversary of the founding of Wayo Women's University. The Lab will function as a base where those involved in home economics education can collaborate beyond their respective positions and fields. It creates a space for home economics teachers to learn from each other, hold lectures, seminars, and workshops, and also build networks for exchanging and sharing information, developing teaching materials, distributing newsletters, and more. We envision the Lab becoming a place where people of different backgrounds can meet and interact, all towards realizing the fundamental goal of home economics education: "the creation of a better life.”

The Home Economics Education Research Lab is looking for members who share in its vision. We welcome the participation of not only home economics teachers but also individuals who have studied and promoted home economics education as well as those interested in and supportive of this field. If you agree with our founding principles and bylaws, and wish to become a member, please submit an application form in one of the three ways listed under “Membership Information.”
